Case Study: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

When the CDC needed to move some of their most sensitive LN specimens at their Lawrenceville, GA facility, they chose Accelerated Laboratory Logistics to relocate all of their sensitive material during a phased building renovation. We provided a detailed and comprehensive plan to successfully relocate the 235 liquid nitrogen freezers. We used a proprietary method to relocate these units. The move was completed on time and on budget.

“Just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you and your team at Accelerated Lab Relocations for doing such a great job with relocating and shuffling our sensitive liquid nitrogen tanks and freezers around at our Atlanta campus. The project involved replacing the flooring and ceiling in a large, packed tank room. It required the LN2 tanks and large horizontal freezers to be moved around inside the building as well as to another adjacent building, and back to their original positions.  Your team worked with us, the CDC Program reps., and the General Contractor to refine the construction process so the tasks were streamlined and efficient while protecting the sensitive material within.  Our Program representatives were very happy with the care taken with each tank and freezer- it was reassuring to know your team had the proper, powered trucks, over the road certifications, lift devices, expertise, and care to confidently handle the project. We wish you and your team the best and look forward to working with you on the next project.”
